The Northwest Equipment Mfg. (NWES) LED cap is designed especially to work with Bear Legacy CCD equipment to easily accommodate today’s longer wheelbase vehicles.

Today, even normal-size pickups are longer than earlier models, ranging from 12 to 15 feet. The original CCD alignment machines were designed for vehicles at that time, with a maximum wheelbase capability of 12 feet.  Now you can upgrade your original CCD equipment to work with today’s longer vehicles. 

NWES manufactured LED caps are built with a specially selected, highly focused and stronger intensity beam to accommodate those large trucks.  Vehicles such as the F350 with a 15-foot wheel base are no problem using the NWES LED Caps.  Depending on the condition of your equipment’s cameras they can exceed 17 feet.  That is an extra 5 feet beyond the original CCD equipment design.

Northwest Equipment Manufacturing has built a special test fixture to individually test each of these LED Caps at long wheel-base distances, and each and every LED cap is rigorously tested.

Recalibration recommended after installation. Alternatively, you may take before and after LED Cap change-out readings to compare and determine if calibration will be required.
